this tube was given to me, but i never saw one like this ECC81, it has the plates made of a very bright material and has 5 stars stamped on it...is it a real Mazda tube? and is it any good ? special ?

Thanks, yes it is possible it is a ECC83, because the numbers are not very legible anymoreIt's a legitimate Mazda Belvu but I thinks its an ECC83/12AX7. Mazda 1959 Silve Plate - France
CEI was an English rebrander. Could be anything. However, if you got dyslexic and the tubes are really IEC. That was a legitimate brand used by Mullard. Look for other etched codes or marking on the tube and see if you can get a better picture showing the plates and getter ring. Also, you can compare to pictures located at: 12AX7 ECC83 E83CC ECC803S 7025 CV492 CV4004 CV4035 M8214 M8137 6057 B339
