Hi
I just acquired a Mark Levinson ML-9. In want to adjust the bias because the heatsinks don't have the same temperature on both channels. As is there's 18mv across .5 ohms emitters resistors on one channel and 12 mv on the other side, I adjusted both at 18 mv. Do someone have the recommended bias value ? Is there a chance I can find the schematic for this amp ?
Thanks

Hi, Actually I see no bias pot in the rather vague schematic I have here.
I would leave it as it is.

Hi again,
In an old ML brochure I found the the power stage has an idle current of 260mA. This is divided over 4 transistors giving 65mA over each 0.56-Ohm emitter resistor.
So that would give 65 x 0.56 = 36.4 mV.
That's about double the value you measure, maybe you can find a pot to crank it up.
