Would anybody know the spec for the transformer used in the Marantz PM-32 integrated amp?
I have one of these in my possession that has a transformer with a shorted winding.
It has markings on the top that would suggest it might be 25v 1amp but it's not at all clear.
Don't want to throw it out, it served me well for years! Hoping to sell on to a good home.
Any help gratefully received...

The amplifier that is using this transformer is a 40 watts per channel unit
80 watts of audio power, both channels driven....maybe a 170 watts transformer.
40 watts of audio, over 8 ohms means something around 18 volts in the output.
To produce 18 volts, the amplifier will need a 33 plus 33 supply (more commom value... around that).
Also something alike 2.2 Amperes each channel.
This transformer may be 20 + 20 Volts AC....and able to feed 4.4 amps.
Well..... i have not "cristal ball"... and also not magic power...but, it may be something around that.
regards,
Carlos

I've measured the unit and the dimensions come out at...
2.25 in wide 2 in deep 3 in high
57mm 51mm 76mm
Weighs approx. 3lbs (2.5 kg)
So possibly slightly lower powered than suggested?
