First thing to do is lose the cheap carbon volume control and replace with Alps Blue Velvet conductive plastic type pot of same resistance value.
You may need drill new holes and run jumper wires.
Carbon pots add ''excess'' noise....a masking noise that rides with the signal.
This noise will diminish apparent lows and add junk in the highs, likely giving the subjective mids suck out that you mention.
Expect to pay $25.00 or so delivered.
You may also benefit by fitting bipolar type electrolytic coupling caps.

thank you all first of all,
Dan i can directly put the blue Alps the holes are allready done!
so you advise me to replace the wima's with polycarbonate pots?the wima's are 1μf 63v...should i also change capacitance?the preamp runs maximum at 24v.

yes sir u are a genius!thank you very much for all the trouble!
today i swapped to blue pot and i saw a slightly better results!i also replaces the stock 1μF63v with wima's of the same value...also i swapped to gold plated rca's...any other recommedations?
the preamp is really flat and accurate for the money and with a good power supply it can do wonders!thank you again,
