Hi guys
I have the Marantz DR6050 - CD Recorder and I have two questions.
1. Can I use it as external DAC? It has digital optical and coaxial inputs. I want to put digital signal from the PC.
2. Sometimes its display freezes and the sound is dropped. I found a service bulletin that says: "Solution: Replace the DASP IC <IC 7701> with the improved version."
Where can this IC be purchased
Every aid will be appreciated.
Greetings!

The IC part number in the bulletin kinda looks like it might be some device Marantz programmed. If so, it was probably only available from them.
Regarding your other question about sending optical or coaxial from a PC, some PC motherboards have a SPDIF header on them. There might be an output panel that can go one of the spare PCB slots to make the SPDIF header practically useable.
Other motherboards don't have a SPDIF header so some kind of USB to SPDIF board might be needed. A very good one that can output SPDIF or I2S is: I2SoverUSB - I2S over USB Audio

Thanks for the reply.
My computer has optical and coaxial outputs to which I have connected another DAC.
My question was how to bring an analog signal from Marantz DR to amp (I did not find such a setting)

Maybe an issue with clock rates. If merely recording from an external source, mismatched audio clock frequencies and or clock jitter are not a problem. OTOH, if streaming from another device, then there needs to be way to get good sound quality despite possible clock issues. Depending on the digital transport mechanism from an external source (USB/SPDIF/etc.) additional ASRC/FIFO/Clock_Recovery circuitry might need to have been designed into the player.
