Marantz AV Surround Receiver SR-73 - turning off problem

I have been having a problem with my Marantz AV Surround Receiver SR-73 for the last couple of months. It will randomly turn off and I won’t be able to turn it on for a while. Some times for hours and sometimes for days. For this reason I don’t think it would have to do with overheating as I have read on some forums. It will also randomly turn itself back on sometimes after it last turned itself off hours ago or days ago.
A few weeks ago I took off the top covering and blew some canned air around the power button and after that it worked consistently for a few solid days, but this was quite possibly a coincidence. Two days ago I took off the top covering again and I plugged it in and it happened to be working. While turning it on and off I noticed that the loud clicking sound it makes when turning on and off was coming from the rear of the receiver and that there is a small fuse near where this sound is coming from. I replaced with a new fuse, it worked for a day, but then it turned itself off again.

Anyone have any ideas of what could be the problem?

Thanks so much,

Seguliac

Random on/off SR-73U

My unit also powered itself randomly. This is 6 months ago, after I set it up in my father's living room so I only saw the unit once or twice a month. A week ago, visiting my father, I noticed it was unresponsive, dead. So I am assuming the malfunction was an indication of something to come.

Did you find the cause? Solution?

I opened her up, checked all the obvious things... found nothing. I enjoyed the sound this unit put out, far better than the majority of its counterparts, IMHO, and want to keep it, if possible. I'll pay up to $50 for repair, but nothing more??? Probably can find one cheaper than $50, with shipping, on ebay.

Thank you,
Zohrab
