I just came across this for free since my friend was moving.
I have no idea about this thing except the very limited info that's about it on the web. It's got a really nice wooden case, it weighs a ton and it looks like it's probably not been cleaned since the 80's.
The only problem is that it doesn't work.
I tried plugging in things I know that work into the imput jacks, nothing, fm tuner tuned into something, nothing, am, nothing.
I am getting crackling in the speakers from turning the volume knob though.
Any info on my problem, or if it's worth it to get this thing fixed or just any information on this model at all would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that both monitor buttons are in their OFF or OUT positions. I would suspect that one of these in the IN or ON position thereby rejecting the normal inputs and the tuner signals.
A noisy volume control suggests that all the circuitry following it is probably working. It also might mean that there is DC on it. Unplug the unit, take the cover off and give the volume control a cleaning with a contact cleaner which is safe with plastics. If the noise disappears after cleaning then the DC possibility is eliminated.
While the cover is still off you should clean ALL the switches.
