I picked up a Marantz 2216, but it was not taken care of. I've cleaned the volume, treble, and bass pots; which cleaned up most of the static but there is still alot of static in the left channel at low volume, though both channels are clean at about half volume when using the headphone jack. However, when I try to hookup loudspeakers the right channel is dead. What can I do to fix this?
you have to spray really well the potentiometer and start turning it up and down. especially at low level where the noise is. Do it many times!!!
PS: Check speaker relay. most the time the contacts "ark" and the contacts get dirty...just use a thin file to make contacts shiny.

The 2216 has a single supply amp with capacitor coupled output. No relays. There are also fuses in the speaker line as well.
