hello.
need some help from u guys.
I am helping my friend to make a CD-Pro2 transport, he got his unit from daisy laser.
Now i need to decide on what power supply to use.
in the website, it recommend using a simple LM7805 / 7809 regulator will do. what you guys think, is it ok to use that to get very good sound?
anyway, i have this idea of adding a feedback to the regulator to make it perform better. Please give commend and advice.

This idea is very good in case, where extremly constant voltage is needed. In your case I would prefer extremly low noise and hum on the 5V rail. Therefore you need at first unit a normal regulator arround 12-15V and then a cascode current source, that loads a 5V power precision zener. You must choise the current so, that normal one half goes through the zener and the other half to cd player pcbs.
