I remember a discussion on infinity..and the comment infinity is not everything it depends what its an infinity of...ie an infinity of cows is not an infinity of sheep.

Or an infinity of odd numbers is not an infinity of even numbers, however an infinity of random numbers might contain an infinity of odd and even numbers.

An infinity of infinities ..
Just my thoughts an infinity of Multiverses in an infinity of infinities..😀 <<however on a more serious note..

True IIRC, but worded somewhat misleadingly. The subset of all real even numbers is a subset of all rational numbers.

There are different sizes of infinity. Long time since i have seen the proofs, but if i recall correctly the set of integers is aleph 0 (same as all rational numbers), and reals are Aleph 1

Again linked to the science festival, however the first part interested me..yes the double slit experiment again..and I did sigh and think this has been done to death..however I watched it.

Then 😱..probability waves..and a possible answer to the particle wave duality this was interesting..then it seemed to drift into throwing a dart..and I lost interest. At this point I wasn't going to post the link but the first 15 minutes to me make it worth it.

I wonder what the result would be if one were to intentionally set up the double slit experiment to take place multiple times over the course of a year. To take it even further, in different locations as well. Set it up and tear it down often enough to record a result,one electron per session. But for the intent of this premise, the same individual/s must necessarily be the authors/participants of the experiment.

Leonard Nimoy had a regular TV program years ago showcasing strange phenomenon. There was an episode that focused on the remote behavior of human plasma. An experiment was conducted with an individual where a small cup of plasma was removed from his body, taken half way around the world, and the electrical impulses sent into the persons body were simultaneously recorded in the remote container of his plasma with no connection to each other whatsoever.

I think you may have overlooked something,
How fast are you moving at this moment?
(Earth rotation/ Earth and sun orbit/ galaxy movement)

So every time a particle is sent towards the slits its already in a different place than the last one, ie the event is happening in motion or during motion. Depending on how you look at it.🙂

I assume you could say that of every event..no matter how you make conditions the "same" they can only be within the realms of what is controllable. Assuming space itself is not also in motion. (red shift)

I was just thinking about your ideas, then I had a problem with the ideas. The problem is you mention observation, then I thought what's doing the observing.

I.e. if we are "alive" then the universe should also be alive if its not then how can we be 🙂Ddo we just think we are?) What is doing the observing to change the outcome? Is it just a bunch of particles interacting at a spooky distance..do we see change or is the change part of the unseen reaction or interaction. Is it "life" that changes the outcome or is the universe interacting with itself...if you see what I mean.

I like the comment in a horror film very old black and white referring to a woman worried about a spell cast on someone, she thinks she can see..she can, she thinks she's alive, she is.. she thinks you will die at 10.00 tonight you will<<just for fun 😀

It appears quantum mechanics is leading us to self directed existence. Whatever is needed to explain our existence seems to appear which premise itself has apparently been corroborated and therefore must continue to do so. But it's an imposter. A self directed delusion setting us up as God. This is ultimately the defacto goal of quantum physics. Searching for the 'beginning', not just the God 'particle'. But there will always be the next 'something' to find. The joke's on us. We can lay out the blueprint of our existence any way we choose but the substance of our 'life' is not tangible and independent of our physical nature.

Its interesting,

The probability waves seem to be provable..
The quantum Casmir Effect has been proved..
I don't think there is an issue with looking for the "Beginning"
The whole point of science is to find and explain.

Quantum ideas seem to be the only way to prove some things that we see in real life.
Ultimately we should try to know everything there is to know..but its the spiderman saying with great power comes great responsibility.
Whatever we like to think we are part of the universe..life exists within it and therefore is not abstract from it.

If there is a supreme being or not is probably the ultimate goal..truth is truth...however to stop the search puts us back in the dark ages.
Things we must not ask or why do I exist or is there life beyond the physical will be answered eventually and with that comes enlightenment.
We might not like what we find<<its a bit scary really!

IF and its a BIG if everything is energy then where do we exist..did we exist before the big bang?

I don't think its a conspiracy 😀. I have questions that make me wonder what "its"<<(not referring to QF) all about.
However the thoughts seem to be that its not a never ending smaller and smaller particle finding exercise..so they say when you reach the Planck length its completely different<<this remains to be seen.🙂
