Hi. I’m new to this forum and I’m seeking some help on some questions regarding mains filter, particularely the Audioquest Niagara 1000.
I am considering buying this filter to try to make my system sound a little better but I also have an isolation transformer to isolate my system from the mains. I would like to combine this with a filter. My question is if I can put the filter on the same side of the transformer that my system is on, the secondary side and if so, how would the grounding work? It’s a so called floating ground or lifted ground on the secondary side of the transformer and I’m not sure if that works with a filter.
Also, the filter has a dedicated outlet for a power amp for higher current but that outlet don’t have all the benefits that the other outlets have. The power amp I’m using is an integrated amp so I would really want to use it with all the benefits of the filter as I’m using the preamp in it. It’s a Denon pma-2020ae.
Would really appreciate your thoughts and feedback on this. Thanks.

The power amp secondary side should already be well filtered.
I would put a mains filter on the primary side to filter out spikes that could upset or blow up the amplifier.
You really don't need to spend that much money on a mains filter.
A low price CLC mains filter should be fine.
You can get them built into the amplifier mains connector.
