Mail order add from the 60s

We have a lot of books floating around at work. I thought this ad from the early 60s was pretty cool.

Yeah, I remember looking into that one. All that stuff used the same parts, on the same chassis.
You only could have one of those "20 radio circuits" at a time.

My optometrist collected old magazines and kept them in his waiting room. Old guys would come in and sit there for hours going through them, occasionally becoming paying customers.

Mail order was a big part of DIY back then.
We had to "send away" for the catalog and wait a month or so for it to show up.
Then "send away" for the parts which involved a trip to the post office to buy a money order.
Wait another month or so for arrival.
Since I was in Canada and buying from the USA , we had to got to the post office to pay another 20% import fee to get the parts.
Somehow it was all worth it.
