Hi.
I've come across some Magnavox 252 10" speakers and I know very little (almost zero) about them.
Can anyone help? Any information would be great
Are they woofers, or full range? I'm guessing woofers, but again I'm clueless.

If these speakers are out of an old "console" stereo, (post photos) they'll not be able to handle more than a few watts, maybe 5 to 10 max. otherwise they'll fry.
Trust me, I know old consoles - restored plenty of them in the shop over the years.

To clarify my turn of phrase, I came across a single driver on a popular auction site but didn't buy.
Wiseoldtech, I believe they are probably mid to late 50s console types, after a bit more reading around. Not sure how well regarded they are.
Like most folks I guess a pair is more desirable.
But it was cheap enough to think twice. It may have been delisted but I haven't looked.
I've been looking for something I can buy cheaply, for a small valve amp. I have some small drivers already but they are not all that efficient.

For a small valve amp (say 5W) that´s exactly what you need.
In the very old days, there was basically one kind of speaker and they were used everywhere.
A 10"/12" Jensen P10Q for example might be used in a large radio, a "radiogram", a guitar amp or an organ, go figure.
Even Celstion speakers started as "radiogram" speakers, go figure.
People used what was available, which was not much

Agreed. Old console drivers can be great if you're realistic in your expectations. Large leaky box and a few tube watts are a good combination with these.
252 is probably the mfr code.
