Can you post any model numbers on the magnet? That might give us a clue. The Philips system was consistent for many years.
Almost certainly a Philips speaker from their speaker factory in Dendermonde (closed since 10 years or so, unfortunately).
Dear Talaerts,
The Philips loudspeaker factory in Dendermonde is still in existence, and is actually very alive and kicking. Around 2004 Philips sold the factory to D&M the Denon&Marantz holding company.
Although the factory no longer produces home audio speakers, there still is substantial R & D of car audio speakers for i.a. Citroen Peugeot and BMW.
As a matter of fact, the car audio speaker that carry the brand name Bowers and Wilkins in some of the Jaguar cars are in fact manufactured in Dendermonde for Jaguar and have never seen the insides of the B&W factory in Worthing UK.
Kind Regards,
Eelco de Bode

Dear Eelco, thanks for correcting me. Philips has closed so many factories that I wrongly assumed that this one would be closed as well, as opposed to sold.
There must be quite some knowledge there.

I would guess that Made in Belgium is a Philips speaker. Can you post pictures?

AD 12202/N2422 257 51202
DD8 950 111
Okay, the one with the "AD" number is definitely a Phillips.
Thank you.
Now I have to find away to have a crossover built for them.
These guys seem to think the AD12202 is a truly excellent driver:
|| DHTRob - Impressions: Several FullRange Philips units.. ||
Could your 8" drivers be AD9710? If so, those are also quite good drivers.
Philips 9710/
I generally like vintage Philips fullrange driver. Would be cool if you can find a way to post the pictures.
Have fun!
