Hi, does anybody know if is there some brands that have unbeatable low fs subs? I mean, that they can be tuned at nice low fs level (around 30hz or less) without the need of a huge enclosure.
For example, I once analyzed an 8" skar subwoofer that can be tuned around 25hz with an enclosure around 1.8 cubic foot. This is great because there are lots of subs than should need around 4 cubic foot to get such deep tune, for that reason I am interested in knowing if is there a brand that fabricates the lowest subs in the market, some info about that?.
My last question is about how low can a sealed subwoofer get when when using one or more passive radiators? does it really make change? I was wondering how nice this can be, because the advantages in size "compact form factor", thing where ported enclosures fail.
Thanks.

Hi nicasiox2,

Once you introduce a passive radiator into an enclosure design you are talking about a vented system. The easiest way to think about a passive radiator is that it is a port replacement, take a look here:
AE Speakers --- Superb Quality, Unforgettable Performance, Definitely.
In vented boxes where the driver simulation calls for a small box with a very long duct (port) with large volume a PR can be used to maintain a small box size.
