Low Pass Pre Outs

I am in the middle of Creating / designing a pre-amp.

I have a mono sub 120hz crossover point @ 24dB octave drop. This is being fed to it's own RCA jack.

Right now i am combining R+L channels with a summing op amp with unity gain. Am I going to run into a problem where bass on both channels is going to be twice as loud as bass on only one channel?

Some form of volume control for the sub is a good idea.

Its unlikely sub amp gain and subspeaker voltage effeciency
will match the main speakers correctly.
