Hi everyone! I am new in the busines so i need somme help. I whant to build four rectangular tractrix horns,wich i'm gonna use from 170 hz to 800 hz. The horns will be loaded whit Precision Device Pd 121 and make part from four way PA sistem. The sound i like is not hi spl,but smood,nice and clear.Questions: Which is the optimum CR in this case and from where i can find the Hornresp program.Thaks allot!

I realize your request for information is date, but nonetheless, I proffer some insight.
Hornresp is lauded as an end-all program for horn design. It is NOT. It is, at best, a target frequency range horn modeler, but it CANNOT provide a description for HOW exactly the finished horn will sound in actual use. (EXAMPLE: Designing a horn using one-quarter space--though the response in the modeled horn may be ideal, the actual, real-world low-frequency cut-off may be less than projected by the program, given that the program assumes a solid wall and floor [which may not be the reality of the environment in which the horns will actually be used].)
If you're still interested in learning the intricacies of horn design, I suggest you read some of the content available at goodsoundclub(dot)com. Though I don't agree with a few points the author promotes (the frequency range that constitutes low frequency or mid frequency, for instance), the observations into horn design and construction are intriguing and hold up to scrutiny when compared to sound propagation studies and actual construction of horns. (Note that the author's command of the English language is not proficient, but it is nevertheless readable.)
