I'm very sure that over the years both companies sourced built drivers from various OEM manufacturers. At one time, I remember seeing CTS, Eminence, Kef, and Becker woofers in various ESS systems.

Yeah, it might be difficult to pinpoint the right OEM making those speakers at this moment, even what I'm particularly interested are the cones, their paper cones.
In the USA there are these who manufacture speaker cones:
Loudspeaker Components LLC - Lancaster Wisconsin - Manufacturer of speaker cone assemblies
In Europe there are these:
Dr. Kurt Müller: Paper Cones

The best paper cones, used by JBL, Altec, etc. were made by:
Hawley Products Inc - 1567 North 8th Street, Paducah - has been manufacturing loudspeaker components longer than any company in the world - with good reason.
RDM second-sourced many models:
Rapid Die and Molding, Inc. - Loudspeaker Component Parts

12" plastic cones
I know its a wee off topic - but I am looking for a 12" plastic cone - that will sell to individuals. As in, I want to buy 6-8, not 6-8000.
Thanks.
Srinath.
