I have been using a pair of PSC2.400d for years now, with no problems.
Recently both developed the same problem, one of them about two months ago and the other a week ago or so. At first it was intermittent with long periods of stable operation, and at first I suspected my preamp or maybe cables/plugs to be the cause. But now both channels have the problem, stable operation is down to a couple of minutes at the time and it happens with no source connected as well. So no doubt left - the problem is with the PSC2.400d's themselves.
The symptoms are very loud popping, crackling and static noises. Sometimes it quiets down for a moment after successfully (according to software) transferring filters to the DSP, only to return to popping and crackling at scary levels after some seconds.
Any ideas?
