I need some assistance with locating this Sil Pad or suitable replacement.
These come from larger amplifiers, and they typically fall apart or pieces come off when separated from the To-247 Mosfet.
The dimension is approx. 40mm x 24mm @ about .8mm thick
The thickness is important.

Tom you can check on EBay. Look under the manufacturer Bergquist. You might have to go back to there website to find something comperable. I think Mouser sells it also.
No, not your specific application. I like Perry here, use Kapton Mt exclusively now. It's very thin with good thermal conductivity and I have never seen it melt. You do need to use a thermal compound with it ( Dow 340 ). You can find it at cs Hyde

I would then look on Ebay. Using the Berg quiet site for informain look for something with the proper gap filling dimensions. I believe Mouser also sells it.
This may be more than you want to do but I use the kapton MT with the 340 mentioned above and use a clamp to seat the transistors. Clamp all of one side normally. Then on the other side, use a clamp to force the transistor to sit flat against the heatsink. Then install the clamp. You have to make sure that the solder doesn't flow up onto the leg since there is very little lead length to work with.
