If anyone has any of these I'd be very interested to buy a couple.
Hard to find this part ...
plugged one in to a recent project and BADOW!! cracked the SOT-227B case. No idea what I did wrong but anyway need a replacement.

Theo

No not cheap, but seeing as how I hate to wait until November when mouser gets these in stock I'll likely want one from this place. My guess is they won't have it in stock but then again its worth a shot.
Thanks very much for the tip.

Have a look at Farnell / Electronic Component Distributors / Suppliers / Electronics, Electrical Parts, Electrical Components and Wholesale Electronics. they have several 600V 50A Bridges for less than $4.
Yes very true and so does mouser.com but I'm after this particular bridge for its recovery speed...which some argue makes zero difference in sound quality but also its soft waveform recovery.
I indeed have no idea if a bridge rectifier makes any audible impact on a project or not however I have one amp complete which uses one of these and I'd like to remain consistent.

Years ago I had a similar situation when I was trying to get a 100A diode, nobody had them in stock. I called the company (IRF) trying to buy them and they said it would be about a year lead time and then asked if I would like any samples. They sent 3 for free! You might try calling IXYS for samples.
