WTB Looking for healthy tubes: E88CC / 6922 / E188CC / 7308 / CCa (preferably quads or more)

Wanted to buy
As per title: I am looking for E88CC / 6922 / E188CC / 7308 / CCa tubes in NOS or otherwise "healthy" conditions. I prefer a quad or more, but am still interested in smaller numbers.

Please send me a PM if you have something along these lines to sell or trade. Consider including some useful information like:
  • How many tubes do you have available?
  • Which type?
  • Which make/brand?
  • Measurements that allow me to assess the condition of the tube (emission, characteristic paramers, curve data, etc.).
  • Asking price
Thanks!

Have all the numbers but the last one NIB/NOS in pairs by various brands. Never been powered on or tried out. No tube pilot lingo here but brand names and type numbers. BTW You have expensive taste 🙂

* Please no other PM about these tubes than by OP.

PCC88 need not apply. They were meant for consumer TV sets, not for top-notch quality and performance. Their heaters are designed for series connection with the current set to 300 mA. Running them in an "ECC88 environment" with 6.3 V heater voltage sort of works, but, in contrast to many claims, it's not great. See attached curves measured from a PCC88 with (i) correct heater current at 300 mA and (ii) heater voltage at 6.3V. (Note: with correct heater current the voltage went up to 8.2V in my sample.)

I am looking to the "super-quality" ECC88 types as mentioned in the title and first post.

I received quite a few messages saying "I have many tubes, what do you want?". Please only get in touch if you have the tubes listed in the first post (no 6N23P, 6N1P, PCC88 types). Also, please consider including some useful information like:
  • How many tubes do you have available?
  • Why type?
  • Which make/brand?
  • Measurements that allow me to assess the condition of the tube (emission, characteristic paramers, curve data, etc.).
  • Asking price

The tubes were produced 50 to 70 years ago when normally no average user measured them when bought new. Even the normal versions were of high quality. They were generally good, when not they were exchanged for good ones. They were AFAIK never with a measurement report except military tubes. As I have no means or desire to measure them now I retract my offer. The chances to find virgin western made NOS/NIB RF tubes in unwrinkled boxes with a full report are slim.

8.2v on PCC88 seems high, what make were they. I usually find heaters to test close to specification, and would expect a valve designed for series connection to be manufactured in strict accordance to avoid any inbalance.

Langrex have a fair selection if you're considering buying from a dealer. Also if you're able to reconfigure for 12.6v then 8416 which I gather was PQ grade may be worth considering.

I only tried a hand full in my old dac but quite liked the Tungsram. All I have left are some used ones which I need for another project, but having matching between the two anodes is putting me off that project.
