Looking for exceptional midbass 60hz to 1500hz to replace EV midwoofer

I'm looking for a 12" midwoofer with similar characteristics to my EV SX300 midwoofer.

I really like how it sounds

Highish Fs I believe with good mid bass impact and clarity with a very smooth and open midrange. Very little resonance that I can hear and sounds more hifi than most pro drivers i've heard

Ive used some 12" drivers from B&C and faital pro and this one beats them for my application

Looking to cross to a SEOS 12 at 1300-1500hz

Thanks

B&C 12PE32 is popular choice.

I'm really enjoying the 18 Sound 12MB700 at the moment. Measures flat out to 4k with big clean output capabilities. Eminence neo drivers are very nice as well.

Do you know which B&C and Faital drivers you used? Thanks.

which seems to be very specific in the EV is its high QMS 🙂 > 9.0 !

And the Eminence can't follow it on the BL aera ! The EV should be a very good dynamic driver, and good as well for micro dynamic, no ? Maybe a Beyma could follow, but most expensive than EV in States ?

How do you use it ? Vented ?

I've heard various builds with B&C 10PS26 and an unidentified 12" with a neo motor. I used the Faital pro 12PR300 for an econowave some years ago. All very good woofers but the midrange was not quite as good as the EV from what I remember.

That's interesting, where did you find the t/s parameters? It is vented in a small box

Yep it's seems it has be designed for vented with Qts near 0.3 and low Mms (less than 40 g for a 12") ! I asked the load because I prefer sealed than vented because the smoother roll off ot the -12 dB low end and the tempo of a sealed vs a vented ! Just curiosity 😉

https://images4.static-thomann.de/pics/atg/atgdata/document/specs/157655.pdf : fourth column, you seem to have a very good driver : and the price here in europe is 100 euros more : so I think the 170 bucks speakerexchange is a good deal !

There are maybe better driver, but not as cheap price, some may perhaps testimonie about the Beyma 12P80Fe /v2 : but I think it's very expensive in USA ! ANd it says Nothing to the sound : but it's for sure a very nervous and certainly detailled sound to see the T/S parameter and huge Bl ! While your low Xmax says maybe a lot about micro détails ! and in a vented load the cone has low needs in a home environment ! But for sure the Beyma should have no distorsion because heat proof 🙂 (look at the Xmax !).

Notice it is just two cents as I never heard both of them in reality....
