I'm about to start wiring up my first real audio project - PS-14 and Aikido octal preamplifier. While I have a few years experience in wiring server cabinets that was a couple of decades ago and I am by no means an electrical engineer.
Looking for someone to review my planned work and again before first power on.
I once had an electrical contractor doing some work in my home and had him review a GFCI which I knew I had wired incorrectly and he missed the mistake. It was for running 30 amps of 250V in a damp environment - so don't take it personally if I get second opinions.
If anyone is ok with reviewing diagrams and photo's over the board that would help - I just don't want to be posting a guide on the forums to wiring that someone might follow and make a mistake.
... or other recommendations?
I'm going to start building the chassis this week and have any material within reason to work with. I have lots of scrap stainless but not sure how good of a choice that is. I may make the top and front out of aluminum. Any reasons to not use stainless for the sides, bottom and back? I think what I have is 16 and 14 gauge. The rear panel I may use something lighter because of the tool wear on working with heavy stainless.
