I am having a tough time purchasing a toroidal transformer. I contacted RS India in Mumbai and the price for a 25-0-25 v 225VA is Rs 3500/-. That is about 76 US$ excluding postal charge.
Can anyone help me on this matter and tell me some sources (probably from outside india) where I can purchase in a cheaper rate.
Thanks in advance...

Thanks in advance...

Not too helpful for Roushon, but Parts Express has a 25V + 25V 250VA toroidal transformer for USD$42.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
thanks a lot to tg3 and jean...

I was olny sharing my knowledge of toroid prices compared to my suppliers. I will assume something got lost in the translation there on your end....

Perhaps that's exactly what you should have said then, nothing....

Hi Carondimonio,
Thank you very much for telling me about this source. Actually I already sent e-mail to them and got no reply. And then thought I should ask people here.
I will try to contact them again.
Regards.

I wouldn't say so, I can get that sort of thing from Farnell here for much less than £30 inc delivery. £30 is roughly US$54. 🙂
As I began searching offshore suppliers, I found this to be true.
I also found that it's cheaper for me to get my own Canadian Hammond's from Germany 😡
Some middlemen in this country are laughing all the way to the bank... 🙄

Transformers
I have some transformers in a post in The Trading Post section. Maybe my ZTR0019 will work well enough for you? Or maybe two of the ZTR0017.

some good news
Finally I have got responses regarding toroidal transformer from some manufacturers in India. These are rather cheap. 25-0-25v 250VA price is around US$25-27 (including sales tax) excluding postal charges. These are:
www.toroidal.com and www.torotrans.com/
I am posting it because the information may help someone.

Riku-78 said:That is cheap. Do you think they would deliver those things to Europe? Amplimo in Netherlands sells 225VA toroidal transformers for 43.74€ (~ $55 US).
edit: still trying to wake up 🙂
I would guess YES. They will export. I think postal charge and other duties may raise the price. Even then it will be cheaper. You may write to them either by e-mail and by s-mail. I sent my enquiry in the both ways and got reply within a couple of weeks.
Good luck....
Just for comparison and to see what´s cheap and what´s really not:
In germany you´d get a 220VA for around 31$.
330VA would cost 40$, 500VA 47.50$.
800VA would cost 68$.
This especial company (www.Reichelt.de) only delivers 12,15,18,30V dual secondaries but other companies who offer more are only a few € more expensive.

Hi,
Do you need a power supply xformer ? If so, in Poland I order from our local supplier xformer, say 150 VA, for about 15-25 EU. Custom built for tube PA.
I don't know if they ship abroad.
The link is attached.
