I'm building myself some speakers using Fostex FE126NV2 drivers. I am 3D printing the speakers and my CAD skills are not up to designing a horn, so I'm sticking with a sealed enclosure of approx. 25 to 30 liter size.
I am thinking of adding a bass driver to augment the bass a little bit as the Fostex rolls off a little too early in the sealed enclosure. Preferably something around 4.5” - 5” in size that I can get to work with a capacitor only (first order) to roll off the higher frequencies?
I want to keep it as simple as possible. I don't mind using multiple drivers to get the efficiency, but I'd like to preserve as much of the FE126NV sound. I love the sound of the FE126 and I'd loathe to muddy the sound with a second full range driver; I only want to start rolling it in from around 200Hz-300Hz.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks
Paul
