Hello. I'm considering building 4 amps in one case with one power supply. They will be used to power 4 pairs of outdoor speakers which are Niles OS6.5. They are rated for 5w-100w @ 8Ω. The reason I want a separate amp for each pair, as I've talked about in another thread, is so that I can build a serial interface to turn the speakers on/off in any combo I choose without having to worry about impedance as I would if they were all on one amp. Being a newbie, I'm in need of advice on which amp I should choose. I have good soldering skills so I don't mind kits if it's cheaper and/or better design. The amp I'm using now is an Onkyo M-282. It sounds good to my ears so I want to make sure that the new setup will sound at least as good. The specs on it are;
8 ohms 2 x 140 W at 8 ohms
THD 0.08 % at rated power
IM Distortion Rated Power 0.08 % at rated power
Damping Factor 100 at 8 ohms
Frequency Response 10 Hz to 100 kHz: ±1 dB
Signal-to-Noise Ratio 110 dB (IHF A, 0.5 V input)
1.) Is the TK2050 from Clear a good choice? Or is there something better at or near that cost?
2.) With 4 of these connected together, are two 24v 350 watt mean-well sufficient or will I need something larger? Is it okay to run two of these parallel, or is it best to keep them separate?
3.) My serial circuit will likely employ relays. Can I simply put the relay on the DC line in to these amps to turn them on and off at will?

Okay. I think I have settled on using 4 hifimediy T1's with the sta510a chip and two Connexelectronic SMPS300R @ 38V. Since my Onkyo will be controlling the volume, there is no need for the pot, correct? Also, will the stock T1 gain setup be sufficient with my pre-amp or should I decrease R1 and R4 to 10K or so to increase the gain?
