Hi all , can someone put me on to a site who sells long Ribbons or Planar tweets for line arrays? I am floating ideas around and i would prefer a single 12 " plus line then going the multiple tweeter route.
Thank You. 🙂

OMG Help me ! ! My brain is on fire.

How can there NOT be better speaker systems in the world in the 1400k world with things like those.

I can Buy 12 of those BOHLENDER GRAEBENER NEO8 PLANAR TRANSDUCER and a 2 x 10 Peerless and be at a grand. With wood and labour ........... I had plans guys and they keep changing and i havent built anything yet>

I was going to donate 50 bucks to this website for all the help. I am now going to get drunk again and brainstorm some more. Think about it. 6 x NEO8 PLANAR TRANSDUCER with 4 x Peerless XLS a side in an OB config ! Ill have fake Gilmore model ** speakers

Well, be careful. The Neo 8's can't really play down low enough to mate to a true 'woofer' array. Look at the gr-research Alpha LS, which is certainly the best known line array using the Neo 8's. Danny crosses at over 1k, and he knows what he's doing.

The BG planars can go lower, but still not low enough to mate to a stack of 12's properly IMHO. You really don't want to xover lower than 400, and some folks think 600 is better. You may or may not need a tweeter solution anyway - the top octave is definately soft.

Also, either approach will require eq. Just the nature of the game with planars. Having said that, I think it's a great way to go if you have the room. I have some 60" carvers that I'm going to have to sell as I simply don't have the room :-(
