How do you log off this forum properly? When I go off the website and then return, it shows my name as if I was still logged on, but when I go to post a message, it say's I'm not logged on.???
Anyone? Thank's

what browser are yu using. if it is iexplorer. Windows go to tools then to options and clear user form then when yuo log back on it will ask you if you want to save user name and pass word.

JasonL;
Thank's for your response. I have Win98. I went to tool's, internet options, content, auto complete. Then I clicked " clear forms " and also " clear passwords " but I still have the problem. If I go back to the website within a few min, I'm still showing as being logged on, but when I try to post, it say's I'm not logged on. Eventually my name disappears from the log on list.
It's not a big deal and maybe I'm worrying for nothing, it just bug's me LOL. Even though now when I log on a menu pops up asking me if I want Windows to remember passwords.
Where are you located in Canada?
Doug😕

LOGGING OFF
Hi,
I don't think there is such a feature to log off in the Bulletin soft.
Once you have registered you have the possibilty to log on automatically,that uses a cookie that sits in your browser cache.
As a matter of fact when you close all browser windows you had open on the forum you will have logged off or at the least to the other users it will look like that.
When you go back to the forum your id will be added immediately to the list of users at the bottom of the main page.
To you it may then seem as if you never logged of.
If you want to log in manually just clear the cookies in your cache by going to the "internet options" (IE) menu in your browser,than on the first tab check "delete cookies".
Just make sure you do not have a window open on the forum.
Next time you go to the forum you will be asked to log in and to provide your password.
If you then tell Windoz not to remember your password you will have to go through the same procedure every single time if that is what you want.
You can now do a test post and see if the problem is solved since I suspect your cookie was damaged.
Cheers,😉

Log off
Thank's Frank;
I'm beginning to wonder if I really had a problem in the first place LOL !!! By damaged cookie, do you mean cookie crumbs?? Just kidding.
Let me see, you are saying that when I leave the website I am logged off, but my name is still there, but nobody can see it ( but me ) 😕 😀 It must be true, because even though my name appears there, if I try to reply to a post, it tells me that I'm not logged on. Then I go back and log on.
Actually, I didn't notice before, but at the top of the menu you use when you post, where your name appears as the logged on user ( top left ), it say's " logout ". If I click on it then close my browser or go to another website, when I come back to the dyaudio website, my name is gone !!
I use another forum that uses this software, www.linearx.com but on the main page there is a logoff button. When I logout then come back again, my name is never there. Maybe it's just how they have the software configured ??
Anyway, thank's a lot guy's for your help. I have a feeling that this is one of those cases where, as the expression goes, " if it ain't broken, don't fix it " till it is broken LOL
Happy new year, have a drink on me,
DOUG
