Has anybody tried this IC as an audio amp? Date Sheet Link
I looking at them as the amp for driving the lower half in my proposed Bi-amp system. The upper half will be driven by an UL 6V6 PP. XO will be Steve Bench 6DJ8 design.
I have already completed the 6V6 and find the output power amazing. My earlier plan was to use LM3875 to drive the bass, however after listening to the 6V6 PP, I am inclined to go for a higher power amp instead. I am looking for a cheap solution.

Hi,
I used the LM12CLK as a power amp several years ago (standard application note) without any problem. While I was able to get it real cheap, the LM12 usually is very expensive (I saw them priced at 50$).

in israel the LM12 is cost a 20$
and u can bridge 2 of the LM and get 240W !i can give u a circuit if u want...

Thanks for confirming its usabilty as a power-amp without any hitch, but are you sure about that cost. In India my supplier has confirmed at approx US$18

While I'd love to have your bridged schema, my requirement at the moment is rather modest🙂 But let me commend you for keeping the flame alive at this forum regarding higher powered amps
