Those are neat but need a proper shelf to put them on. To sound their best they shouldn't be put on the floor. I think they should be inverted somehow.

yes, looks good but useless on the floor needed to be brought up to listener ear level. is it fostex?

yes

One more bend could place the driver up onto the side or nearby of the horn mouth -- that'd be like the "Saxophone" by B&W some years ago. (funny I can't find the pics on web?)

Yes, that's it! Emphasis is the name! Thanks for the link.
How beautiful! I remember it was demo'ed in the window of the hi-fi shop I once worked for. It had been holding that position for a very long time. It seemed it's there forever. Even after I quitted that job...

Hahaha .... Of course from a DIYer's viewpoint it's ridiculous. But there are people don't DIY and have money. I assure you, there are lots of them! And not only in audio, in many many other things...

(BK101, but don´t tell I told)😀
Judging only from my experience in cars (subwoofer boxes and custom kickpanels), fiberglass is not the greatest material to use for speaker enclosures. Unless it is really thick, say 1/2" or more, it resonates like crazy. I'd love to hear these speakers for myself, but at first glance they look more like a room decoration than an audiophile product.

LOL Pit! Nice of you to remember. After my month stay in the hospital to remove a stomach tumor nearly two years ago (thank G-d it's out) i believe chunks of my memory have gone. Thanks to you, another chunk has come back.

I see i gave you props too. The article is not dated but my son was three and a half years old... so about EIGHT years ago! Uncle Eli still has them and when i visit he never fails to tell me how much he loves them. He even told me he hired a painter who after a few days of listening said he loved the sound and asked about the speakers. I guess Uncle Eli left music on for the painter, how nice. I must admit, Frank Sinatra and his big band really do sound great thru these little horn speakers... and surely yes, bigger would be better. But they do fill his room with a big sound that his little ported sony bookshelves just did not come close to emulating (hi-tech yellow woofers and all).
Addicted, yes... but since putting two powered 15" woofers in my system to 'enhance' my 'bigger' back horns... i've become addicted to them too.

😀😀😀The years DO flit by, don´t they?
As to 15"s :
#1 - I still have a pair of Isophon prototypes around
#2 - TC (bigger is better) as to my liking skinny girls: "There is a song: Baby´s got back"

It looks like SpongeBob Squarepants alarm clock. The one that always wakes up Gary and Squidwerd. I'm looking for a pic.

My BK101 are not quite as old as yours but close... still in my test/disassembly/packing room system. 4mm jacks on the front make them very useful.

No tweeters on them now.

The speakers mounted in the wooden box which is coupled to a plastic horn won't play very well because the horn will amplify the lowpass response of the cubic box only ,and in a neutral way , I guess ,which is not bad .
But the horn will catch only that : If we put a cushion in front of the speaker , we'll have a bandpass loudspeaker ...
The differences between the two materials used , wood and plastic , reflect the purpose of the project : to amplify a lowpassed wave . The thickness and different resonance grade of the two will put serious limits to linearity in SPL ,since the energy transfer value from start to end of the horn is very quick but doesn't get what the horn is supposed to do : gain .
Or , reversed , the horn does not add any loss and it's doing it quickly .
An enhancement would be to choose the right thickness and rigidity of material.
