I have a Linn Axis which needs a new motor as one of the windings is open circuit. There seem to be many types of motor on ebay but none refering to the Linn Axis, only the Linn LP12.
What is the voltage required is it 240V or 110 Volt. For UK frequency is 50Hz and revs 250rpm. The axis motor has three tags rather than flying leads but that's not really a problem as they can still be connected. Are LP12 and Axis motors the same spec?
I have replaced all the capacitors on the drive board and managed to release the motor with a hot air gun. I would appreciate any help regarding sourcing a motor.
Thank you

Hi Jonathan, I repair Linn Axis and Valhalla PSU's. If you send me the psu/motor/switch I may be able to repair the motor for you. FYI the Axis and LP12 motors are different. Hi Steve
Just reading post now. Would it be possible for you to look at a motor for me,
I purchased an Linn Axis 2 recently on an auction site as in pwo and got it home to Ireland On testing the motor starts and spins the platter for a couple of turns and stops making a noise.
If i push the platter it starts to spin again again stopping after a few turns. It does this on both speeds
The motor drive pulley has a wobble when turning it looks like a bent shaft, don't know if this is normal
If you think it is repairable i could remove it and get it to you as am over Thursday of this week in North Wales near Chester for a holiday
