Hello,
I'm new to the forum, need some help I need to purchase a second M31 LinearX Microphone with a fairly current calibration data . I was wondering if anyone might have spare one for sale ? I'm having no luck purchasing one direct from LinearX. Or does anyone know of another brand I could use that is an equal to it.
Thank you
Paul

They show it as available for $130. Are they not responsive when you contact them? Not knowing the interfaces you need to work with makes it harder to suggest alternatives.

I don't think LinearX is in business anymore, see my post:

Very sorry to hear this.
I spoke to Chris about 3 years ago and, at that time, IIRC it was $50 to send in an M31 for calibration.
I bought a very old LMS system at a good price at that time and was trying to get an idea
of the capabilities. He was having a big problem with the FPGAs that he used in what I think
was the 2nd generation of the board. They were failing and replacement parts were NLA so
he had no way to fix them. My board was older and based on the older part that so far does
not seem to fail.
Chris was very high strung, sounded like a high energy genius type.

He was definitely high energy and without a doubt a genius. I have an LMS board that I was going to trade in for a discounted LX500 system. I don't use the LMS system anymore because it's an ISA board, a testament to how well it performs, many manufactures still use the LMS system. I know there was some new testing capabilities and patents that were rolled into the LX500. I hope someone picks up where Chris left off with the LX500.
Your board might have a lot of value if it has the better FPGA parts since people in
industry might need one. Does it still work?
I have several older ISA slot computers for my older audio cards.
One runs Win98!
