AAAAAGGHHHHHH!!!!!! Help me PLEAZZZZZE!. I did everything I was supposed to do. I did the research, trolled this site, modeled my options and came up with a EBS confiuration for a SHIVA - 148 L, 16 inch long 4 inch dia port, etc, etc.... I was in for some serious BASS! Yeah! OK I order the 240 watt amp from PE, start on my enclosure, try to order the Shiva....but wait.... it isn't there... or there....or there..... OR ANYWHERE!!! What gives???
OK my dilemma, should I hold out for the Shiva, hoping against hope that it will reappear one day and I will be in bass nirvana? Or do I bite the woofer bullet and get something else? Is there anything out there that is close enough that would work in a 148L downfiring config? (Pardon me - is there anything out there comparable in the same price range??) Surely someone will take pity on yet another newbie (don't ya just hate that word?) and guide me through the morass of options and pitfalls........
Thanks in advance and I want you to know that not one of the 207 smilies conveys the frustration and anguish I feel. I only wish I could cuss here (yes I am from the South and "cuss" is a perfectly acceptable word down here...)

Shivas would be available around mid March from adire audio. EMINENCE LAB 12 sub woofer or Titanic mk3 (12") from PE are also great . I would suggest wait for shiva for another month or so.

An ascendant audio atlas 12 would fit the bill perfectly and probably outperform a shiva in that box given that much power.
It will not outperform a Shiva, but it's really close. It's around 0.5 dB advantage for the Shiva over 21 Hz, but at 21 Hz and under the Atlas is better. The Atlas can take a bit more power because it got a bit more excursion. The Atlas got also a way lower Le, so if you want to cross it high, the frequency rolloff is really smooth.
It's a very good choice if you don't want to wait for the Shiva. Same frequency response curve.
