LCD repair - part ID

I have a g2g gear DVD player and the LCD has gone out. The MOV, metal oxide varistor (as I was told by and electronics guy), has gone bad. The markings on the part are:

The part is a round two pin connector with blue heat shrink over the component.
Can anyone help me decipher this so I can purchase another one or maybe have suggestions on other options for repair.

Maybe someone has pirated a parts diagram? That maybe my next option.

FYI
The part appears to have over heated, scorched the heat shrink, and melted the solder disconnecting the component.

Have you had any luck with this problem? I have the EXACT same problem. That same part shorted out on my main video display and I can't find any information on fixing it.

If anyone out there has any ideas for us please post. Thank you.
