LCD Mounting on an OHP

I'm looking to put together a nice DIY projector to use for movies, video games, and maybe some TV viewing. I'm planning on using a 15 inch LCD on an OHP. However, I'm confused on exactly how to go about actually mounting the LCD on the OHP. I know that some space must be left in between the OHP surface and the LCD, for cooling purposes, however I'm an not sure how this is done. To me it would seem that the only way to raise up the LCD is to cover up parts of the edges of the screen. I have seen some picture of this being done (http://www.gmeel.com/lcdproject/) but it is hard to tell what exactly is going on, and the captions don't help either. Also, beyond cooling, some sort of formal mounting would most likely be required to keep the LCD safe. Can anyone give me any suggestions, maybe some examples, etc on mounting?

Thanks in advance for you help.

P.S. If you guys have any other random pointers or suggestions for a first time DIYer they would also be greatly appreciated

I'm using the exact same LCD. But I didn't use the frame. I just stuck 4 small pieces of styrofoam in the corners since they are blocked by the OHP anyway. Didn't do that hot knife scarring thing, looks scary to me.

Here's a pic.
