My Olevia LCD 42in. tv has a high speaker volume even at the lowest setting, along with a buzzing noise that is clearly heard at the lowest levels. Aside from dealing with the manufacturer, I read that a possible solution would be to insert a 5 watt 39 ohm resistor in series to the wire leading to the speaker (this coming from someone else with a similar TV from the same manufacturer. I also heard that doing so would make it easier to reduce the volume during the night. Does anyone know if this makes sense? If so, would it be more practical to have a TV repair pro make the fix, or is it possible to DIY for even a novice who has used a solder gun before. Any instructions or directions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Sounds like you have an Unbalanced Cable problem. Unbalanced cable picks up interference with near by metals and frequencies causing buzzing and the sort. Balanced cable will solve this problem
tell me:
What jacks are you using?
Common unbalanced audio uses wires. A negative and a positive, also known as having TS to TS cable(Tip Sleeve).
Common balanced audio: TRS jacks, XLR male and Female jacks, and Neutrik connections. This includes a positive a negative and a GROUND wire. The ground wire cancels out the buzzing noise.
This is a problem when audio plugs into the amplifier you are running
This will be were your problem is...hopefully. PM me if you still have this problem.
