I can help with the first question: Nope, it's not pre-mounted.

It's not that hard though..
Just add a thin layer of solder on one of the pads.
Pick up the choke (with tweezers), hold it over the pad and re-heat while moving the component in place.
You might need to re-heat and press down to make sure it sits firmly on the PCB.
That's it. The other pad is easy since the choke can't move.
