I also build a couple of Aleph 1.2 and i use IRFP240, and not too expensive, see link http://https://www.elfaelectronics.com/elfa3~ex_en/elfa/init.do?item=71-167-59&toc=0
You need about 100pcs to match at least in 0.1Volts or better.
About the mosfets you refer to, I'm not sure. And they look very expensive to me?! I didn't find any prices.

that MTE is too much capacitive
