I have a busted laptop with a working 15inch screen on it.
Is it possible i could use this screen for a projector project? hook it up to any other sources?

i also realise that this question has been asked, but i havent found what i need to buy that actually make this work.

the problem is driving the LCD...u need the laptop to do so...and if the lappy is busted...then it's gonna be difficult to do so...
Yep laptops are useless for this unless the laptop
works - there is no way to use a laptop screen with out
the laptop -- unless you can get the info from the maker
of the laptop - and you cant - sell the screen or laptop
on ebay and use the money to buy a OHP lcd panel
or LCD monitor
I deal in parts all the time - I get asked for LCD to use
like this - and cars / tv stuff like that - I tell them it
wont work but they dont beleve me - I had got a lot
of 30 laptops a few weeks back for a $100 most were
lowend 120mhz no CD drive and few PII - they all
had nice LCDs, scraped every one but about 10 and
resold them - the I had peps begging me to let them
have the LCDs - out of the trash LOL

to hide the trash now
- I wish they would work - because you can get a 486 with a
TFT for $20 or less - if it would work, they would cost a crap
load tho
You could get $70 up to $150 or more for that LCD on Ebay
and the laptop may have parts that could also be resold
