L-T subwoofer for electric bass amp?

I read somewhere about a Bag End design for a bass amp that actualy used a dual-10 cabinet (with one of the drivers featuring a coaxial compression tweeter) and dual-10 ELF subwoofer. Could something similar be achieved by using a Blueprint 1503, a 1000-watt amplifier, and a Linkwitz Transform circuit? Another thing is, how would adding a subwoofer to an electric bass rig improve things?

Equalised systems can be used for bass guitar. You have to be aware that you need a lot of power and Vd for this purpose - and you won't be able to play that loud either - but you can achieve great tone.

There is no bass-guitar ELF speaker within the BagEnd product range with a 10" coaxial. The dual and quad 10" with coaxial driver are reflex enclosures that can (but don't have to, if you can do without full reproduction of the lowest octave) be used with 12" or 18" ELF enclosures and the apropriate processor (which then makes the stack two-way active).

You could theoretically use an LT circuit but this wouldn't offer the protection features of dynamic EQ systems like the ELF circuit.
