Hi all,
After trying it all by listening, I like some advise from you.
The cap on my tweeter x-over is 3.9uF. If I change this to 3.98 (3.3uF and 0.68 parallel), will this be audible do you think, and in what way?
I have also 2 different L-PAD possibilities on my 6 ohm tweeter:
1/ 4R7 in series and 18R parallel.
2/ 5R6 in series and 15R parallel
What is the difference in dB between the two? (or help me calculate it myself)

What attenuation do you need? I just had a look at winisd but it will only give the resistor values required to get a certain attenuation, not tell you the attenuation with particular resistor values.
The value of your series resistor seems very high.
for a 3db cut winisd comes up with: series 1.75 Ohms, parallel 14.54 Ohms.
for a 12db cut series 4.49 Ohms, parallel 2.01 Ohms
I think that your values are way out!
You can dowload winisd here:

Can't really comment on the cap question, my gut feeling is that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but I haven't tried experimenting with paralleling up caps, I have seen others saying it can make a big difference (I'm sure that the difference if any would be due to the interaction between the two caps and not because of the minute difference between the values).
Regards,
Tony.
