KRK Rokit Gen 2 PCB Repair

Hello all! First time post, hope you don't mind. I'm having a significant amount of frustration with my 5 year old KRK Rokit 6's Gen 2.

A few days ago I noticed one of the monitors would give a louder hiss and crackle as it warmed up, although would still play sound through an input. I already swapped power chords and tried different outlets.Being past warranty, I opened it up. I found a blown resistor covered in the infamous "black goop of death" I've heard about on these circuit boards. There's a good write up on this fix here that has accurate pictures of what I'm referring to

Anyways, I perform the repair without scraping all the goo off completely. Fire the monitors back up with the new resistor and the same problem occurs. Open the monitor back up and go back at it with the goop. After scraping another blob off I find buried an 180pf 100v capacitor that had been corroded by it. Easy fix, replace the capacitor and scrape the remaining goop off of the board to check for more damage but everything checks out.

This time I fire them up, nothing from the sub... I'm thinking maybe the power leads aren't soldered well enough or that maybe my scraping led to a short, so I disconnect and resolder the leads. Still nothing.

At this point, I need some help. I can visually see nothing wrong with any component, my solders aren't bleeding from pad to another and are connected well, pressing on components gently with the monitor on (with a rubber handled screwdriver mind you) don't cause anything to pop in and out, I know the sub isn't blown because it made noise before I swapped the capacitor. These boards have 2 60v amps and I believe that both amplifiers are used to power the tweeter and sub, and the tweeter sounds fine. I've scoured the internet, including these boards and most people are saying if it's not loose/damaged components than its IC failure in the amp.

I really don't want to spent $100 for a replacement amp, I feel hopeful that everything is still in working order and that I'm overlooking something. Thank you very much
