I am looking at getting a new woofer for my sub:

It's the lowest, most entry level that Klipsch made, which was fine when I got it five years ago, but I think it has gone its time. It's not capable of the kind of output it used to do, and has gotten sloppy.
Any recommendations?

is the amp in good condition? also what size is the amp, and the interior volume of the enclosure? these facts are important for substituting the driver if, for sure the driver is the culprit! 🙂
If you pull up the manual, it says 55W RMS, 225W peak. You'd have to do some measuring to figure out the displacement and tuning of the box if you were to try to reuse it. Salvaging the amp would be simple enough, and then you could build a new box to suit the driver of your choosing.
