Hello together
iam Alex comming from Germany 🙂
yeah but this is not my Problem
my ex didnt like that i wanted to go awy from her,
so she demaged my amp during my working time in America 🙁
So till now i put new mosfet bias an a few caps inside,
but till now it doesnt want to work🙁
i put voltage on it, the amp isstarting and staying with the working led red.
but i here whissling voices from the preamp?
this is my Hobbys in my freetime and i dont wanna lose this great amp.
please help me to find this issue
thanks together

With no RCAs plugged in, what's the resistance from the input RCA shield to either of the non-bridging speaker terminals?
Perry please, please give me an advice how the cenw92 + cenw42 are assembled ?
i mean the direction, i dont find any Picture and i dont have any Sheets of this amp

There's a shield ground fuse that sometimes blows.
What parts failed in the amp? Use the circuit board designations for the parts that needed to be replaced.
Are you sure that the shield ground for your signal source is intact?

the following parts has been replaced
cenw92 all
cenw42 all but for that i dont have a possebility to find the assembly directin
C36
C37
C203
C204
C103
C104
R244 was broken leg, is solved 🙂

R122
Leg 1 of the MPSW transistor is nearest the tab on the transistor outline on the board. The following is from a 600 but the installation is the same for the w42 and w92 drivers.
R122? The potentiometer? Did you reset the bias?
Are both channels noisy?
Connect your meter between the B+ terminal and a non-bridging speaker terminal. Meter set to ohms. Nothing else connected to the amp. Twist/push/pull on the power transformer. Does the meter ever go to near 0 ohms?

good morning
i dont understand what you mean =?
i mesure the potentiometer, you have to know that only one side was cut out so i take the other side as a base for the resisdence, reset bias? how?
what do you mean with both chanels noisy?
the mesurement change if i pull push or twist the transformer

The following applet shows how to set the bias if you don't have factory specs.
Is the whistling in both channels?
When you twisted the transformer, did the resistance ever go down to or near 0 ohms?

following Applet?
i didnt connect the amp the any Speaker, first want that everthing is in working condition
Change a lot but never go near 0ohms

Following eventually.

The transformer in the 1000 shorts out commonly where the terminal windings go over the body of windings at the secondary side of the transformer.
How low did it go?
Does the noise change if you manipulate the windings while the amp is on?

at the Moment i cannot mesure, my power supply bows up 🙁
do you have a Foto from the installed CENW42+ CENW92 ?
For mesure this type of amp, what do you think is a good idea of power supply specs?

please say to me the rowThe best I have was shown in post #7.
this mps92 is the secound Transistor, if you start on the power side
please say me the positions of the other threes.
I don't have any photos of a 1000 with the MPSW transistors. The attached show the alternate parts. The 2N3501 is equal to the W42.

thx
so i found one fault
this parts have been placed on a wrong place
the row is now
q213 w92
q211 w42
q209 w92
q212 w42
on the other side
q113 w92

q109 w92
q112 w42
is this correct?

so i changed everything
now i want to buy a power supply
but i dont know how much have to be the adjustable current?
i found one
from Amrel LPS301
up to 15V 2,2A max 32V 1,2A
please give me an advice to choose the right one
thanks

What do you intend to use it for?
The PS52KX is probably the most commonly used for those repairing amps. It's decent quality and easy to repair (in most instances).

thanks for this example
for testing und repearing amps
this supply is for usage in USA not in Germany
but the specs are interesting
12-15V adjustable
up to 46 Ampere
so it have to be a supply about 50A and adjustable?
is it better to find one with analog screens?

I use a 20 amp astron (VS-20M) for initial troubleshooting and testing but that's not enough for testing most amps to full power. The 50 amp allows testing small amps to full power but still isn't enough to test amps like your kicker to full power. For testing moderately large amps, you'll need 100+ amps and likely at least one battery.
A lot of people are using large server power supplies like those made for dell servers. Some are rated for about 130 amps.
Digital meters are good for precise readings but analog meters are better (in my opinion) for testing audio amplifiers.
