I have a Kicker Ix405d on the bench with blown power supplies on the class d side and the ab side.
The class D outputs are all blown too.
The z44n's are physically damaged.
I removed all the damaged transistors and the amp powers on.
I noticed there's zero resistance between the z44 source and drain pads on both power supply sections, is this how it should be before I replace with new z44's?

I clipped one leg and tested it with a multimeter
It measured 0.482 with the lack probe on the silver band side.
When I reverse the probes it's OL

You should always check the gate drive before installing the FETs, preferably loaded with a 0.01-0.1uF cap.
Load one of the FET locations in each bank, gate to source, with the cap and check the drive with a scope.
Measure the DC voltage across the capacitor. Compare several locations. They will likely measure about 4-5v DC.
