I've hooked a 1/8"-to-RCA cable to plug my iPod into a Kenwood KDC-122 receiver with an aux input, but when I switch the source, the only options I get are Tune and CD. I know it works with AUX because I've seen the same model with a working AUX in. I need to know how to teach the receiver that there is something there. And I have tried the manual.
Thanks very much,
Marc

Ummmmm........ the kdc122 is an entry level cd player it doesn't have aux inputs. Those RCA sockets round the back are pre amp OUTPUTS to connect to an external amp.
Hope this helps.🙄

you need an aux adaptor that plugs in the cd changer socket uk part number CA-C1AX, this gives you two phono inputs..
excellent idea but kdc122 can't control a CD changer so no 13pin socket for the adapter lead to plug into.
