Nice…I bought the Falcon caps to do my 104/2 too.
I haven’t got to it and won’t be tearing them apart to do that and the tweeters until I have something I’m happy using in their place finished.
Wish I knew what my crossover designation was…these would save me a lot of time.
Mine are a bi-amp Type SP3128…

Yours will have another small crossover which is fixed in place in the top cavity of the speakers .
👍🏻

I just did a quick search and apparently yours use this same crossover ( sp2050 ) with the additional crossover like I said.Nice…I bought the Falcon caps to do my 104/2 too.

I wonder if the additional crossover is accounted for in the kit from Falcon?
I had a MTM pod off at one point to examine the tweeter model number…can’t remember it now…I do remember examining the chamber well behind where it mounted and only noted the wiring that connected to the pod. Where is the additional crossover supposed to mount?

The tweeters should be the T33. There is a behind the mtm pod at the top which is secured with 4 screws, sometimes these are a real bitch to open as on some they used double sided rubber like strips to keep them airtight, but on some I’ve had only one side has the adhesive ( they’re easily removed ) , if yours doesn’t want to budge then I suggest a hairdryer on hot for around 15 minutes around the small gap of the hatch will release it .I wonder if the additional crossover is accounted for in the kit from Falcon?

The latest set of caps I received had 2 extra 100uf’s so I don’t know if they’re what’s fitted on the other crossover .
I don’t think a 1% kit exists anymore.Did you use the 1% or 5% kit?
I’ve owned my KEFs for almost 25 years. I found them abandoned in a repair shop where the woofer surrounds and donuts had all been replaced…cost me $600.
I had a pod off years ago…I don’t remember having issues getting it off…of course I didn’t take a pic, who knows if I had a camera phone at that point.
I also had a tweeter out to see what version it might be and was contemplating options for replacements that I could buy and store. I have a few options that I hoarded.
It’s been my experience that the 1% kits haven’t been available for years…missed that boat.
If your kit was purchased any time recently it is most likely 5% tolerance.
Believe it or not, I tried to give these speakers away back in 2023 when I had to move…no takers.
I was so busy dealing with setting up the new house, trying to finish moving and prepping and selling the old house that it was just much easier to hook the KEFs up rather than sort out one of my other speaker projects.
Now they have really become part of me and deserve to be sorted out properly.
