KEC KTB631k/KTD600k -GR rated

Hello all, I’ve been trying to find GR rated KEC branded KTB631k/KTD600k but all I ever see is Y rated. I know they are considered “obsolete” so does that mean I am just SOL? Anyone have any recommendations? How are the Sanyo branded? Do they also have a GR rated?

GR rank usually refers to a higher hFE range than Y rank.
For example, in 2SA/2SC style BJTs:
Y: hFE = 120–240
GR: hFE = 200–400

Is the higher hFE needed or do they just need to match?

Distributions have gotten tighter over the years, so all you may get nowadays is whatever the most common hFE rank was.

Transistor gain-band codes can be different for different devices, always go to the datasheet to be sure.
