Could a small paper K-tube (dust cover diameter) be glued to a cone to serve as a whizzer, or would it of practicality be too short to be effective?
something to try. Its been done as sort of a phase plug. I will tell one use. In a klam where the driver sits back much further relative to regular Karlson Ultra-Fidelity type, a "passive" K-tube can be suspended in front of a fullrange driver's dustcap, whizzer, as a means to pipe out the highs 😀
I used a 2"OD K-tube in an 8 inch klam. Think of the coax below as a fullrange and its dome a bracket to suspend the tube in front of the dustcapwhizzer area.
Also, coaxial can be converted to "koaxial" this way.

here's what I was talking about for a fullrange (or coax) in a Karlson klam type. For a fullrange, a K-tube could be suspended in front of the speaker, to guide some of the highs out to the main aperture area rather than a lot bouncing around.
With coax which have a central dome tweeter, the tube could be fixed to that tweeter's mounting plate
I only have limited experience with klam type and the best is a 15 inch model. 12" may be pretty good. Smaller klam may need Melamine sponges up front to soak up krap. 😀
sorry the tube wasn't oriented straight in this picture.
that's a parabolic slot.
